For most documents that need to be presented or filed with a particular office and that are of an official nature, there is a requirement for such documents to be translated by a sworn translator. Such documents are also known as “certified translations”.

Pursuant to § 142 paragraph 3 of the German Code of Civil Procedure, the documents must certify the correctness and accuracy of the translation and include the following information: place, date and, depending on the federal state, the translator’s seal. The use of a seal is not required by law in every federal state. If the requirement to use a seal is stipulated by the law of the state, then such a seal must contain at least the name and surname and the language or languages and, if necessary, the address of the interpreter.

The turnaround time depends on the volume of the order and the current number of orders. As a rule, a standard translation is completed within 5-30 working days.

If you need an urgent translation, in this case the “express translation” service is offered for an additional fee of 50% or 100% of the established cost. Such express translation is fulfilled within 48 and 24 hours respectively. An order for an express translation will only be accepted if the order does not affect the deadlines of other orders.

Payment for translation services is made by bank transfer or cash. Payment for translations is made on the terms of 100% prepayment.

The procedure for transfer and payment, assuming the cost of the transfer is assumed by the Job Center, is as follows:

1. You provide me with photos/scans of your documents, after which I will issue an estimate with the calculated translation cost to Job Center.
2. You send my offer to the Job Center, confirming my willingness to translate your documents for the indicated price.
3. Job Center reviews the proposal and provides written approval to translate your documents at the proposed price.
4. I issue an invoice for payment, which you must send to the Job Center and I start translating the documents.
5. The turnaround time for document translation is 15-35 business days, depending on the volume and complexity of the documents.
6. Job Center processes the payment for my translation services.
7. After payment is received, I send you the finished translation by mail or deliver it to you personally.

ISO 9 1995 is a standard that establishes rules and guidelines for translating documents from one language into another. It was developed by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) to ensure uniformity and quality in the translation of texts. This standard defines the principles of translation, requirements for translators, organisation of the translation process, as well as criteria for assessing the quality of translation.

When translating documents from Ukrainian or Russian into German, compliance with ISO 9 1995 helps to ensure that the translation is accurate, clear and consistent with the source text. This is important in order to eliminate the possibility of distorting the meaning of the text in the documents and to ensure that they can be understood by native German speakers without loss of information. As a result, clients can be assured of a quality and reliable translation that complies with international standards and requirements.

The cost of interpreting services depends on the following factors: complexity, subject matter, duration, urgency, location and type of translation, i.e. consecutive or simultaneous.
